Waxsol Ear Drops 10ml is a solution designed to aid in the removal of earwax (cerumen). Its active ingredient, docusate sodium, is a wetting agent that works by softening hardened earwax. This allows the earwax to break down and disperse more easily, making it simpler for the ear’s natural processes to expel it or for it to be gently removed by a healthcare professional if necessary. Directions for Use:
Tilt your head to one side so that the affected ear is facing upwards. Gently pull the top of your ear backwards and upwards to straighten the ear canal. Instill 5 drops of Waxsol into the ear. Keep your head tilted for a few minutes to allow the drops to penetrate the earwax. Repeat this process once or twice daily for up to 2 days, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. You may experience a slight crackling sensation as the earwax softens. In some cases, the softened earwax may drain out on its own. If not, consult your doctor or a healthcare professional for further removal.
Precautions:
For use in the ear only. Do not use if you have a perforated eardrum, ear pain, inflammation, or any discharge from the ear. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the ear or any other surface to prevent contamination. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
