Description
Lamifen 15Gm Cream contains terbinafine hydrochloride as its active ingredient. Terbinafine is an allylamine antifungal that works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This action disrupts the growth and kills the fungi causing the infection.
Lamifen Cream is a topical medication used to treat various fungal infections of the skin, including:
- Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot): A fungal infection of the feet, often between the toes.
- Tinea cruris (jock itch): A fungal infection of the groin and inner thighs.
- Tinea corporis (ringworm): A fungal infection that can occur on any part of the body, characterized by ring-shaped rashes.
- Pityriasis versicolor (tinea versicolor): A fungal infection that causes small, discolored patches on the skin.
Lamifen Cream provides relief from the itching, scaling, cracking, and discomfort associated with these fungal infections.
Lamifen 15Gm Cream is indicated for the topical treatment of tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, and pityriasis versicolor caused by susceptible dermatophytes.
Directions for use: Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of Lamifen Cream to the affected skin and surrounding area once or twice daily as directed by your doctor or the product instructions. Gently rub the cream into the skin. The duration of treatment will vary depending on the type of infection. For athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm, treatment is usually for 1 to 2 weeks. For pityriasis versicolor, treatment may last for 2 weeks. Wash your hands after applying the cream, unless you are treating your hands. If the condition does not improve after the recommended treatment period, consult your doctor.
Important Information: Lamifen Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. If the cream gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water. Do not use on broken skin. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.
