Description
Zertazine 10Mg 20Tab contains cetirizine hydrochloride, a second-generation antihistamine. Each tablet contains 10 milligrams of cetirizine hydrochloride, and the pack contains 20 tablets.
Cetirizine works by blocking histamine, a natural substance in the body that is released during an allergic reaction. By blocking histamine, Zertazine helps to relieve the symptoms of allergies.
Zertazine 10mg tablets are commonly used to relieve symptoms associated with various allergic conditions, such as:
- Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), including sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, and itchy, watery eyes.
- Perennial allergic rhinitis (year-round allergies), including similar nasal and eye symptoms.
- Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), including itching and red, raised bumps on the skin.
As a second-generation antihistamine, cetirizine is less likely to cause drowsiness compared to older antihistamines.
Zertazine 10Mg 20Tab provides effective relief from allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and hives due to its antihistamine action.
Directions for use: Always take Zertazine 10mg tablets exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the product packaging. The usual dose for adults and children 6 years and over is one 10mg tablet once daily. The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully regarding the dosage and duration of treatment.
Important Information: Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have any allergies to cetirizine or any other ingredients in Zertazine tablets. Disclose your medical history, particularly if you have kidney disease or liver disease, as your doctor may need to adjust your dose. While Zertazine is less likely to cause drowsiness than older antihistamines, some people may still experience mild sedation. Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery until you know how Zertazine affects you. Avoid using Zertazine with alcohol or other sedating medications as this may increase drowsiness. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements, as interactions can occur. If your allergy symptoms do not improve or worsen after a few days of treatment, consult your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Check the expiry date on the packaging before use.
