Description
Voltaren 12.5mg Supp contains diclofenac sodium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is formulated as a suppository for rectal administration. Diclofenac works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Voltaren 12.5mg suppositories are often used to relieve mild to moderate pain and inflammation in children, such as post-operative pain, pain due to injuries, or fever. The suppository form allows for direct absorption into the bloodstream, which can be beneficial when oral administration is difficult or not preferred. The 12.5mg strength is a lower dose suitable for pediatric use.

Directions for Use:
Use one Voltaren 12.5mg suppository as directed by your doctor. The dosage and frequency will depend on the child’s weight and condition. Wash hands thoroughly before use. If the suppository is soft, hold it under cold running water or refrigerate for a few minutes to harden it. Remove the wrapper. Lubricate the tip of the suppository with a small amount of water-soluble lubricant if needed. Gently insert the suppository pointed end first into the rectum. The child should try to retain the suppository for as long as possible, ideally for at least 30 minutes, to ensure proper absorption. Wash hands again after administration.
Precautions:
Voltaren suppositories should be used under the guidance of a doctor. Inform your doctor about any allergies or medical conditions your child may have, especially asthma, stomach ulcers, or bleeding disorders. NSAIDs can sometimes cause stomach upset or other side effects. If your child experiences any unusual symptoms or persistent discomfort, consult your doctor. Do not use other diclofenac-containing products at the same time. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool place, away from heat and direct sunlight.
