Description
Tobrex Eye Drop contains tobramycin, an antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial eye infections. The medication is formulated as eye drops for topical application to the eye.
Tobramycin works by killing or inhibiting the growth of bacteria that cause eye infections. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including those commonly responsible for conjunctivitis (pink eye), keratitis (corneal inflammation), and other bacterial infections of the eye.
Tobrex eye drops are typically prescribed for the treatment of:
- Bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye).

Directions for use: Always use Tobrex eye drops exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the drops. Tilt your head back and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a pouch. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the pouch. Close your eyes gently and avoid blinking or rubbing your eyes for a few minutes. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
Important Information: Tobrex eye drops are a prescription medication. Inform your doctor if you have any allergies to tobramycin or any other ingredients in the medication. Disclose your medical history, particularly if you wear contact lenses. Do not wear contact lenses while using Tobrex eye drops. Tobrex can cause side effects, including burning, stinging, itching, and blurred vision. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are using, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements, as interactions can occur.
