Tarivid 200 mg 10 Tab contains ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia and bronchitis), urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin and soft tissue infections, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Ofloxacin works by interfering with the bacteria’s DNA replication, thereby stopping their growth and killing them. It is important to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed by your doctor, even if you start to feel better, to ensure the infection is completely eradicated and to prevent the development of antibiotic resistance.

Directions for Use:
Take Tarivid 200 mg tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water. It can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may help to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Try to take your doses at the same time each day. Complete the entire course of treatment as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve before the medication is finished.
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to ofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics (such as ciprofloxacin or levofloxacin). Also tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, heart problems, nerve problems, or a history of seizures. Avoid taking antacids containing magnesium or aluminum, as well as iron or zinc supplements, within 2 hours before or after taking ofloxacin, as they can reduce its effectiveness. Ofloxacin can increase your sensitivity to sunlight; avoid prolonged sun exposure and use sunscreen. Possible side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and headache. In rare cases, serious side effects, including tendon problems or nerve damage, can occur. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, contact your doctor immediately.
