Oximal 15Mg 30Tab contains meloxicam as its active ingredient. Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that belongs to the oxicam class. It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Meloxicam is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
Oximal 15mg tablets are used in adults for the relief of:
- Osteoarthritis (pain and stiffness in the joints)
- Rheumatoid arthritis (chronic inflammatory disorder affecting many joints)
The “15Mg” indicates the strength of meloxicam in each tablet, which is 15 milligrams. The “30Tab” signifies that the pack contains 30 tablets.
Oximal 15Mg Tablets are indicated for the relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Directions for use: The usual dose of Oximal is 7.5 mg or 15 mg once daily for osteoarthritis and 15 mg once daily for rheumatoid arthritis. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your response and tolerability. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water and can be taken with or without food. However, taking it with food may help reduce stomach upset. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals.
Important Information: Oximal is a prescription medication. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to meloxicam, aspirin, other NSAIDs, or any other ingredients in the tablet. Tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, or blood clotting disorders. Meloxicam may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular events, such as heart attack or stroke, and serious gastrointestinal events, such as ulcers, bleeding, or perforation of the stomach or intestines. These events can occur without warning and may be fatal. The risk may be higher in elderly patients and with long-term use. Avoid taking other NSAIDs, including aspirin, while taking Oximal unless directed by your doctor. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and herbal supplements, as interactions can occur. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking Oximal. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
