Description
Erevard 20Mg 4Tab contains 20 milligrams of tadalafil per tablet, provided in a pack of 4 tablets. Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It works by helping to relax the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. This increased blood flow can lead to an erection. Tadalafil’s effects can last for up to 36 hours, earning it the nickname “the weekend pill.”
Erevard (tadalafil) is used for the treatment of:
- Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, which is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection firm enough for satisfactory sexual activity.
- Symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, especially at night, a weak urine stream, and the inability to empty the bladder completely. It may be prescribed alone or in combination with finasteride for this condition.
- Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to improve exercise ability and slow down the worsening of symptoms. This description focuses on its use for ED.
It is important to note that Erevard will only work if you are sexually aroused. It does not increase sexual desire.
Directions for Use:
For erectile dysfunction, the usual recommended starting dose of Erevard is 10 mg taken as needed, at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The effect of tadalafil may last for up to 36 hours. Based on effectiveness and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 20 mg taken no more than once per day.
Erevard tablets should be swallowed whole with water. They can be taken with or without food. However, food may slightly delay the absorption of tadalafil.
The ability to achieve an erection may be impaired by alcohol consumption, so it is advisable to avoid excessive alcohol intake when taking Erevard.
Precautions:
- Inform your doctor if you have any known allergies to tadalafil or any other ingredients in the product.
- Provide your doctor with your complete medical history, especially if you have a history of heart problems (such as angina, heart failure, irregular heartbeats, or have had a heart attack or stroke within the last 6 months), uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, pulmonary hypertension (unless you are taking it for this condition), kidney disease (especially if you are on dialysis), liver disease, sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, or any anatomical deformation of the penis (such as Peyronie’s disease).
- Tadalafil can cause a sudden and serious decrease in blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you take any nitrate medications (commonly used to treat chest pain), as combining them with tadalafil can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. This combination is contraindicated.
- Tadalafil can also interact with alpha-blockers (medications commonly used to treat high blood pressure or prostate problems). Your doctor may need to adjust your dose of tadalafil or the alpha-blocker.
- Some individuals may experience side effects such as headache, flushing, upset stomach, back pain, muscle aches, abnormal vision (such as changes in color vision or blurred vision), or runny or stuffy nose. If these side effects persist or become bothersome, consult your doctor.
- Rarely, tadalafil can cause more serious side effects, including sudden vision loss in one or both eyes (possibly a sign of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy – NAION) or sudden hearing decrease or loss, sometimes with ringing in the ears and dizziness. If you experience these symptoms, stop taking tadalafil and seek immediate medical attention.
- Prolonged erections lasting more than 4 hours (priapism) are a rare but serious side effect. If this occurs, seek immediate medical attention as it can cause permanent damage to the penis.
- Tadalafil does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV. Practice safe sex measures.
- Erevard is not indicated for use in women or children.
- Keep this medication out of the reach of children. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of overdose may include severe dizziness, fainting, and prolonged erection.
- Store Erevard 20Mg Tablets at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
It is important to discuss your medical history and all medications you are currently taking with your doctor before using Erevard to ensure it is safe for you.
