Emifenac DT 50Mg 20Tab contains 50 milligrams of diclofenac potassium per tablet, provided in a pack of 20 dispersible tablets. Diclofenac potassium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing the production of prostaglandins, substances in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. The “DT” designation likely indicates that these tablets are dispersible, meaning they can be dissolved in water before being taken.
Emifenac DT 50Mg is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and inflammation in conditions such as:
- Rheumatoid arthritis

Directions for Use:
The usual adult dose of diclofenac potassium 50mg is typically two to three times daily, depending on the condition being treated and the severity of the symptoms. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. For dispersible tablets, the tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water (usually about 50-100 ml) and stirred well until dispersed. The entire contents of the glass should be swallowed immediately. Emifenac DT can be taken with or without food, but taking it with or immediately after food may help to reduce the risk of stomach upset. Do not crush or chew the tablets; they are formulated for dispersion.
Precautions:
- Inform your doctor if you have any allergies to diclofenac, aspirin, other NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, naproxen), or any other ingredients in Emifenac DT tablets.
- Provide your doctor with your complete medical history, especially if you have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, heart problems (such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure), high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, asthma, nasal polyps, or bleeding disorders.
- NSAIDs may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular events, such as heart attack and stroke, which can be fatal. This risk may be higher if you have heart disease or risk factors for heart disease, or if you take NSAIDs for a long time.
- NSAIDs can also increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal (GI) adverse events, including bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. These events can occur at any time during use and without warning symptoms, especially in older adults.
- Use Emifenac DT at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with your treatment goals.
- Avoid using Emifenac DT if you have recently had heart surgery (coronary artery bypass graft – CABG).
- NSAIDs can cause fluid retention and swelling (edema). Use with caution if you have heart failure or kidney problems.
- Diclofenac can affect kidney function. Your doctor may monitor your kidney function while you are taking this medication.
- NSAIDs may increase sensitivity to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use sunscreen.
- Inform your doctor if you have asthma, as NSAIDs can trigger asthma attacks in some people.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Emifenac DT, as it may not be safe during certain stages of pregnancy, especially the last trimester, and may pass into breast milk.
- Avoid taking aspirin or other NSAIDs at the same time as Emifenac DT unless specifically directed by your doctor.
- Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, and herbal supplements, as interactions may occur.
- Keep this medication out of the reach of children. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
- Store Emifenac DT 50Mg tablets at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.
