Contractubex Gel 50Gm is a larger size topical treatment formulated to improve the appearance of scars. This 50-gram tube provides a more economical option for treating larger scars or for longer-term use. It contains the same active ingredients as the smaller size: cepae extract, heparin, and allantoin. Cepae extract possesses anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and helps to inhibit excessive scar tissue formation. Heparin softens the scar tissue structure, exerts anti-inflammatory effects, and supports tissue regeneration. Allantoin promotes wound healing, softens and smoothes the skin, and helps to alleviate itching often associated with scars. Contractubex Gel is indicated for the treatment of various types of scars, including hypertrophic scars (raised scars), keloid scars (scars that extend beyond the original wound), and atrophic scars (sunken scars), as well as scars resulting from surgical procedures, injuries, burns, or acne. Consistent application of Contractubex Gel can contribute to making scars smoother, more elastic, and less noticeable over time. It is generally recommended to commence treatment as soon as the wound has closed or stitches have been removed.

Directions for Use:
Unless otherwise directed by your healthcare professional, apply Contractubex Gel thinly to the scar tissue 2 to 3 times daily and gently massage it into the scar until the gel is fully absorbed. For older, more hardened scars, the gel can be applied under an occlusive dressing (such as a bandage) overnight to enhance its effect. The duration of treatment will vary depending on the size, thickness, and age of the scar, and may range from several weeks to months. For optimal results, begin application of Contractubex Gel as soon as the wound is closed or any sutures have been removed.
Precautions:
- For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, inside the nose, and mouth.
- Do not apply Contractubex Gel to open wounds. Ensure the wound has fully closed before starting treatment.
- Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any signs of irritation or allergic reactions occur, such as excessive redness, itching, swelling, or rash.
- In some individuals, localized skin reactions like mild redness, itching, or a burning sensation may be experienced. These are typically temporary and subside with continued use. If these symptoms persist or become severe, seek medical advice.
- Inform your doctor about any other topical medications you are currently using on the same scar area to avoid potential interactions.
- Keep this medication out of the reach of children. If accidentally ingested, seek medical attention immediately.
